100 vessels of SA grain shipped from the Bunge network

The 100th vessel of South Australian (SA) farmers’ grain from the Bunge network was recently loaded at its Port Lincoln terminal, as the company continues its 2026/27 shipping programme to deliver essential food, feed and fuel to the world.

Bunge has now shipped 4.3 million tonnes of SA grain to consumers in 33 countries, including 1.8 million tonnes from its Eyre Peninsula ports, 1 million tonnes from its Yorke Peninsula ports and 1.4 million tonnes from its Adelaide ports.

To connect local grain to markets, Bunge works with more than 45 international and local buyers, including export customers, who access its network to source commodities.

Utilising its effective supply chain and world class port terminals, Bunge’s experienced team help the company to safely and efficiently move large volumes of grain to meet the demand of its customers.

The Bunge supply chain meets the highest international standards of food safety and quality management, and it holds a number of accreditations and certifications which recognise this. 

Prior to export, the company tests grain for quality a minimum of four times at various points along the supply chain.

This is overseen by Bunge’s purpose-built laboratory, which supports its network of sites by conducting comprehensive grain classification, testing for end user quality specifications, DNA testing for genetically modified material and chemical residue testing.
